eye relief on NF competition

I have a picture in.and out really hard on eyes do I have to high rings

I had two NF Competitions and had problems getting comfortable with the eye relief. My rings were pretty low, so I don’t think the ring height is a large part of the issue.
I sold both scopes, one with a rifle as a package. I never could get that rifle to shoot as well as my others. The young guy that bought it shoots very tight groups and has won F class matches with it. It may have to do with aging eyes.

I have never had any issues with my 4 NF Comp's. The eye relief is over 3" and I shoot at 45-55x all the time.
