Extractor Differences Sako / Sliding Plate

So, I have a Bat B action that I use for shooting 6BR which has a Sako Extractor (w an ejector & dual port LL/RE). I am getting tired of having to catch my brass when ejecting and wanted to not have an ejector. Yes, I could remove the current ejector but an opportunity came up to buy a bolt from a guy that had a barrel stuck in a Bat B action and put to much torque on it with a cheater bar and collapsed the action. He sold the bolt to me for $100 which I think was a steal. This is a two lug bolt with a Sliding Plate. I attempted to use the bolt since it worked great when I fitted it at the house. However, at the range when I put a bullet in it the bolt wouldn't close. I found that if I but the brass inside the extractor and then put the bolt in the action the bolt would then close. When I opened the bolt the extractor wouldn't let go of the brass and since it doesn't have an ejector this creates another issue. I'm not 100% sure if the extractor is for a 308 cartage (Same for 6BR) so It might be for a 6PPC? The diff being .455 vs a .480. I didn't want to invest $50 at BAT for a new Extractor if it's not going to fix my issue. Can anyone put my mind at ease that a new extractor will work and allow the bolt to close and when I open the bolt it will pull the brass back but let it go so I eject it manually with my fingers?

Thanks
