Extended Nightforce Sunshade

Can someone tell me who I can contact that makes extended sunshades for the Nightforce? I have a 8-32x56 NXS that I need one for. I have seen them at matches but I dont know where they were purchased from. I want the shade to be all the way to the end of the barrel, (32 inches). I would also like for it to be one of the plastic white/opaque ones. I wouldnt be opposed to one that is made of aluminum if its not too heavy, I have about 7 ounces that I can play with on my rifle and still make weight (22 pounds). If I need to make it myself can someone tell me what materials that I need to buy and where I can purchase them.

Thanks BK

No Preacher, I haven't. I didnt figure that Nightforce had anything like that. How long were you able to get from them?

Thanks for the suggestion, BK.

Mine are 18 5/16th long..
I painted them flat black because the clear/opaque material seemed to make a lot of mirage inside the tube when it was hot out. It drove me nutter than usual before I painted them.
The NXS and the BR take different thread sizes....
I rarely use them anymore, so they are up for sale if any one wants to try them..
Seems like I paid $50.00 for each one a few yers ago...

Years ago, long tubes extending to the end of the barrel were used on benchrest rifles in an attempt to divert heat rising from the barrel and adding to the mirage seen down range. They were soon eliminated when it was discovered that the air within the tube was heating up because it had no place to go and only exasperated the problem they were trying to prevent.

Today you only see shields that look like a piece of venetian blind attached to barrels. Even sun shades can trap some air in them, which heats up and can add to the mirage seen down range.

Tubes and Sun Shades may look "cool" but you'll never find them attached to scopes used by the guys who make it a sport of putting bullet after bullet through the same hole. They learned a lesson years ago.
