I've been looking for an alternative to Oxpho. It just isn't the right product for whole parts.

It's super easy to use... just dunk parts in it and rinse them off. The caswell black oxide product gets my full approval. They have a bunch of other interesting products as well.

We used the electroless nickle years ago and worked pretty well. A buddy also used the yellow chromate for some OEM car restoration stuff.

Caswell has some great products, especially their sponge plating kits. They've been in the plating/coatings business a long time.

No. They have a stainless blackener but I’ve never used it.

No. They have a stainless blackener but I’ve never used it.

I'd be interested in how this stainless steel product would work on the shanks of carbon wrapped barrels.

One more question, how is the shelf life after mixing? I assume you can’t put it in steel bluing tanks,

Good question. It comes with buckets to store it in. Mine is still going strong.

The blueing solution is picking up a funky smell, but it still works
