Exact In Stock at Whiddens

Center X has been bringing $18 a box and up at matches--and you know if they are selling it --it may not have tested well--
I bought Center X yesterday under $15 but was on the wait list for about 5 months and..it still is not tested just hoping for the best so...
The good news is at very windy matches I just shoot SK Red and call it good--seems like all have been windy lately so....
Since Any Lapua has been like hens teeth I thought somebody might get some for that special upcoming match
If I could get quality 22 ammo anytime--all I wanted --I would sell my center fire stuff and simplify

Lapua Exact in stock this morning 3 lots
And SK Rifle match red
Well...this comment got me to bite this morning and I've never shot a match yet!!!

I bought three bricks (one lot number each) to test out. I have to have gone completely nuts! $1,101 including shipping. OUCH and DOUBLE OUCH!! $.73/shot is crazy. I guess the old days of .22 RF ammo under a $1.00 a box for 50 is gone...lol!!!

I have (8) bricks of tested Midas+ that shoots really well in my 2500x. Anyone out there shoot Midas + that's done a comparison to the X-Act?? Any comments would be appreciated.

At the Lapua test center the Midas + lot I picked was the best Lapua lot tested in my 2500x. It outperformed 4 lots of Exact tested. One lot of Exact and one lot of center x shot best in my buddies 2500x. We each tested 10 lots Center x, 4 lots Midas + and 4 lots Exact. The ammo that shot great in mine shot mediocre in his and vice versa. In my opinion the difference in great ammo and mediocre ammo can be very gun specific. If you buy ammo blind and it only shoots mediocre in your gun that doesn't mean it won't shoot great is someone else's. It only has to be better than what you already have to be an improvement.

Danny,

Thanks for the comments. This sounds about right. One of my friends shot his Turbo at the Lapua test center in Mesa. Found a better lot of Midas + than what he had. I tried his old lot in my 2500x. It shot extremely well...sooooo I talked him into selling me nine bricks. It seems this gun specific idea has some merit to it.
