Epoxy Bedding/Gluing the Whole Barreled Action?

Does any top level competitor in any rifle discipline have the action and barrel fully epoxy bedded or glued to the stock from the receiver tang's back end all the way to the place on the barrel above the fore end tip?

Someone just told me this is so. While I don't know everything, this seems a bit odd. If it works, then great.

Up until the 1960s, the prevailing wisdom for handmade stocks was that the barrel had to be bedded to the stock forend for the full length of the stock. However for the last 30+ years, you would be hard pressed to find any shooting discipline where accuracy is a key consideration that has the rifle barrel contacting the stock.

Some factory guns respond to pressure from the forend on the barrel, but you will not see it on any match rifle I am familiar with.
