Enter The Quiet Zone: Where Cell Service, Wi-Fi Are Banned

I bet not too many democrats go there....they all seem to have to have a cell phone glued to one hand. Wish I lived there, or had that feature at my house.
I just recently sent yet another cleaning lady home. I politely told her that her services were no longer required. One day I was home and quiet. She went about her "job" not knowing I was present...out of two hours she yacked it up for an hour and 45 minutes.
Her boyfriend called and wanted to know why. I said she would be alright if she just grew a 3rd arm to hold the cell phone while she worked.....It didn't go over too well when I told him...apparently it wasn't him she was yuckin' it up with!!!

I bet people do crazy things there like socialize and do things outside.
Like maybe talk to each other??;):D

We live in a "dead hole". No cell phone service, BUT kids can text while inside sitting on the couch. Don't know how many times someone had stopped at the house and asked to use my "land line" cause their cell phone won't work.:p
I can go outside and make a long distance call but can't call local.
Folks ask for my cell phone # and I ask "why", I never answer it or turn it on. The last time I looked, I had something like 5000 + minutes to use up.;)

The BEST bumper sticker I've ever seen said "Would you drive better if you had that cell phone up your a$$" ?

i am happy to say it is where I call home. Love it here. And we have a great 1000 and 600 yard range nearby. (Whitehorse)

First trip to South Africa, nine days in hunting camp, no cell phone service, no wi-fi, no emails, no news, no stock market, no politics, NADA communications except for a satellite phone I used a couple times to let the wife know I arrived or was still alive. In the evenings we hunted or sat around a campfire telling lies, jokes, stories, listened to PHs talk about close calls on dangerous game and other hunts or talked about our families. Fast forward six years, same camp now has wi-fi. Now it's Whatsapp, emails, texting, wi-fi calling, the web, faces buried in Ipads, or phones and too much of "Huh? What'd you say"? Sad.

I frequently camp in Algonquin Park, and it really pissed me off when they put up cell towers along the main road (Hwy. 60) like 10 years ago.

.I can relate to this as I spend a lot of the summer packing the mules into the wilderness areas, no phone no computer and no Damn T.V. We fish or hunt tend to animals ,have a cocktail and lots of B.S. I don't even take a watch (no need) Great life if you don't weaken.
