Enjoyed Saturday Bulletin Article on Metal-Framed pistols.

I'm a big fan of metal framed pistols, but more specifically, STEEL framed pistols.

There is a good Saturday Movies showcase Pistol Feature in the Accurate Shooter Daily Bulletin:

One of the most accurate and reliable pistols I ever owned was a Belgium/Portugal Browning Hi-Power. Nothing fancy...no Commander style hammer, just a plain ole' run of the mill with spur hammer and no adjustable sights. No trigger/mag disconnect removal either. It was just superb and accurate beyond its price tag. A real winner that pistol was! I really like Browning Hi-Powers. It looks like the Springfield SA-35 is really decent in build quality too! Nice!

Another favorite of mine that I hoped to see in the article is the Kahr MK9. Slide and Frame made of STEEL. Indestructible with no excuses...flawless and reliable as the day is long. Ridiculously accurate too!

It's difficult to pick just One to hold the "best of top spot#. The Browning being a single action cocked and locked condition 1 carry or the Kahr being classified as Double action. Both are great in their own way.

Any Kahr MK9 fans here?

Sure enough, CZ 75's and 85' are really nice pieces of craftsmanship! I tried like hell to get a SA 85 before they were discontinued but my local dealer wasn't interested in procuring one. They only wanted to sell what they had on hand in their glass case.

No need of convincing here....the BHP is one of my all time favorite defensive handguns. I sent my T-Series off to Novak for slide milling, Novak sights, action/trigger job, removal of the mag disconnect. Shoots like a house afire, accurate, totally reliable.

Oh, and NO PLASTIC anywhere.....ALL steel!

Late edit: And 'yes', this one gets carried when I'm not toting one of my 1911's. Pictured in a Privateer Leather IWB rig:

The BHP is nice 'n thin, carries very well in a IWB rig.
