Elite 1000yd Invitational Benchrest Match
At Vapor Trail Valley, coming in 2027
Bringing the very best of the 1000yd shooters in all organizations across the USA together , to slug it out ! For the title of, 1000yd Benchrest Badass!!
This match idea started in the campground at Rendezvous 5, a conversation between slim Jim Fuller , the Viking Shawn Williams and myself, at the time I thought Jim had a great idea, as life gets hectic I kinda spaced off on it, fast forward to this winter, while I was hunting in Montana I caught up with Jim in Helena and the idea got rekindled, for the 1300 miles it was stuck on my mind.
This will be a brief synopsis of how the match will be ran and how to qualify, we will keep thinking and improving on the idea thru 2026, keeping everyone updated.
( first and foremost we are going to do our best to find a date that does not conflict with someone’s national event.)
Qualifying matches
62 shooters in total
These will be based of 2026 finishes, so get er tuned guys and gals , for a chance at 2027 first ever , Elite 1000!
We want this match to have enough targets to equalize out bad relay draws, at the moment, 8 to 10 target aggs in light gun and heavy. We discussed 10 shots in Heavy, to make this match run well, at the moment it will be 5 shots in Hg.
Rules, we will come up with something that works for all organizations as best we can, this will be discussed this summer.
Like the Rendezvous, this match will be a big cash payback match, as well as some one off kickass designed trophies by Ryan Brandt !!
My current plan is to have a traveling 2 gun as well as a lg and hg overall trophies, to record all winners on, those were always a nice touch in the past.
