Eley Club 22lr

I uncovered a brick of this with only one box showing having been opened and lacking 9 cartridges.

it is obviously old, bullets show lub graying ( or lead oxidizing), but al else looks fine.

any thoughts about the age, or value- I have no use for it.

Travelor, Club is not a serialized round from Eley. It is the highest grade which does NOT include velocity and lot number, actually.

The Club ammo generally is pretty decent for 50y/50m shooting, and can hold its own at 100 if the targets are not too tiny.

So Bob, are you saying you are trying to sell it? Or just shoot it? I have never heard of a person on a gun forum that had "no use" for .22 LR they didn't know they had.

Nate,

I am not a 22lr target shooter, I realize the Eley is what it is, and thus hate to waste it on plinking, pds or what ever when it is hard to come by.

I would swap for CCI mini mag or the Fed equivalent which is what I use for pds out to 75-80 yds etc. as the hp opens up better than the Eley would.

this Club has the number I stated printed on the inside of the box flap.

Bob,
Personally, I do not consider Eley Club ammo amongst the top of the line. Given that it's old as you've described, ain't no way I'm putting that stuff down the barrel of my Match Rifle. Plink that stuff and get some new ammo. Ain't worth the hassle or the mess it could make and I'd do the say the same thing if it were Lapua or any top Match ammo. Eley is only a brand name and doesn't mean it'll work best in everyone's rifle.
