Electronic Cleaning

I have purchased a electronic cleaning device to supplement regular chemical cleaning. (http://lovemyguns.com/) My question is would there be any metal removal from the barrel occur due to electrolysis? I realize the S/S barrel is much harder than carbon or copper fouling and the voltage is only 12 volts. But I would like to get the opinions of any electrical engineers out there. Thanks in advance.

Sounds like the Outers Foul Out! If it takes chemicals be sure you'll still be able to get them even if the company goes out of business!
