Educate me please!

I'm new to higher end optics and realizing now HIGH is a relative term.I'm building a new upper in 6mm grendel and want to shoot up to 1000 yards and while it will spend a considerable amount of time on the bench it will also be used to hunt with. I'm thinking I'm wanting exposed turrets,30mm tube, at least 20ishx magnification with a mil-dotish reticle
I honestly don't care if it is moa or milrad as long as the reticle matches the turret style. I've been researching for a week and the scopes I have on my radar are: nightforce shv, sightron SIII, swfa HD maybe some others I've forgotten about please help me tell the difference between them and feel free to recommend something else would like to keep my budget around $1300 but of course less would be better

We have 4 SWFA 5-20 HD for our 1000 yard steel plate rifles and pistols and have no problems at all. Lots of travel, good glass, excellent mechanics, decent eye box and priced right. Will be getting more as guns are completed.

Look at youtube videos comparing those three... you will learn a few somethings fast.

All are good scopes and you cant go wrong with any of them.

I know this is an old thread, and the brand is not one of the choices listed, but I put a 4.5-27x56 Athlon Ares on my Grendel upper last year. We have a 500 yd range which is where I play at most of the time, but I also deer hunt with it. At a tad over $600 to my door, I have no complaints. The upper generally shoots between 1/4 and 1/2 moa slow fire.
