Updated donor list.
We have poured the additional slab and laid blocks for benches 16 thru 18.

Way to go, Mike. Range pics look great. Can't believe how participation in the clay-bird shoots has blown up in the last year or so. It's also great to see the support from all the vendors and businesses that are on the donor list. Gonna be a real nice prize table. Can't wait to see everybody in May---Scott

Yep way to go Mike, looking forward to it. Heck I may even win something with that many prizes and wont have to just watch Debi rubbing her trophy all the way home like last year.LOL.

Terry---I was thinking the same thing-- if Mike can get up to 76 prizes donated, I MIGHT have a chance to get one! See ya'll----scott

mike. if you keep this up pretty soon your whole field will be full of benches. ready to practice up at the 250 and smoke some clays at the 400 too. looking forward to March and May maybe ill get lucky this year and win something.

Scot I am working on another strategy this year for beating Debi now that she helps me reload and I cant jack with her powder charger anymore. Stick is building her a new gun but I ran over her barrel 3 are 4 times with my tractor before I sent it to him. It may help me beat her if I just tell her it is shooting good and not let her shoot it until a match.
Terry

Poured benches 16-18 today thanks to Darrel Martin and Tommy Middleton coming to help again. Roof extension by next weekend so we should be ready to use these benches for the March 250 yd match.

Sorry that I have not returned your PM. There isn't enough hours in the day or night to get everything done that needs doin. I have two full time jobs and a shooting range. My range is in Huntsville. From Jasper you would go down to Woodville then Livingston then Huntsville on 190. Not a bad drive.
Range is east of Huntsville towards Livingston. I am having a match on March 22 at 250 yards then the East TX Championship in May at 400 yds. You are welcome to come down anytime and check the place out. I am hoping to have some practice weekends at the range to let those that participate in my matches come and practice. I am on call 24/7 which limits me to what I can do. Call me at 936-661-1636 if you need more info.
Our website is www.texasbenchrest.com
We have 5 matches at 400 yds during the year at 5 different ranges then a "Shooter of the Year" is named after the final match. That pays an additional $500.

Thanks for getting back Mike. I think we're gonna be down there then, it'd be nice to stop in. I'll definiately be checking in with you in the future when you're not swamped.

Don't forget to take a minute to stop and smell the coffee! ;)

Good luck with the shoot, hope everything runs smooth.

Terry--- your strategy sounds just a little on the risky side to me. Debi is a sweet, classy, lady and a good shooter, but I don't think I'd like to get on her bad side----just sayin'. Mikey, new benches look great! Was at the Dukesters' place for a brief visit today and their modified range looks great also. With all the work you, the Dukes, the Pohls, and Tad have put into it, we have 4 super-nice private ranges to utilize. The Graham range is a very nice venue also and I'm sure they will put on a nice shoot . Lookin' forward to a fun year.

Well I finally bit the bullet and bought a Borden built 284 BR gun Mike, then a March etc .

You going to help me load all my winnings up lol.

Thanks for hosting such a great event, Mike. Even though I shot miserably, I still had fun and met some great people. Reflecting on what we were trying to do, I'm less disappointed me and more in awe of other shooters. It isn't easy to hit a .56 MOA target at 400 yards in those changing winds and heavy mirage - but I can't wait to try again next year.

Travis

Travis,
Was great to meet you and really appreciated the donation of your steel targets and stand.
I have started another thread with the match results. Hope to see you at future matches.
