Ear Pro, Peltor 300, Walker Silencer bluetooth, Walker Razors slim

So awhile back I had a pair of Remington electronic ear pro. They broke so I bought a pair of Walkers razor slim electronic ear pro. I noticed right away that the walkers did not "cut out" upon a loud noise like the Remington's did. The Walkers didn't seem loud as in ear ringing loud but I could certainly hear the shot more. I then bought a pair of Peltor 300's and they cut out like the Remington's did. More of a suppression then complete cut out but you get the idea. I emailed Walkers to ask them if the ear pro was working properly but I never received a response. I have just recently purchased the Walkers silencer bluetooth ear pro, they were on sale, and haven't shot with them but just trying to clap I can tell they do not cut out or I can't hear the compression. Does anyone else have any of the walkers and can you verify if yours have a noticeable suppression? Maybe they are working properly but I have recently discovered some high pitch hearing loss in my left ear and I want to make sure I am protecting what I have left. Been a carpenter since I was 16 so my hearing damage is most likely not from shooting but I started wearing foam ear pro at work for loud situations. My plan for most shooting is going to be doubling up foam with the peltors but I wanted the ear buds for .22lr matches I shoot in or if it is really hot out just run the ear buds when I am not shooting and just at the range.

Thanks,

It seems with the peltor’s their models that “amplify” sounds (with cutoff level) aren’t as quiet as their models that are for normal range use.

I try to compare by the dB reductions manufactures publish.

My friend & I own Peltors we've had for years & a few yrs ago we had to sent both in for repairs because one or both sides had stopped working on ea pair. The repair/service cost was 80-90% of just replacing them.A couple of yrs later one side of mine stopped working so I just bought another brand.
