Dust Devil Across The Firing Line

Any recommendations for how I should clean my rifle out? Strip it down completely?

I stood up to get a better look at what the wind was doing and dust devil decided to blast the firing line. By the time I dove down to get the barrel covered and the bolt closed, everything, including me, was covered in grit.

I may not be smart enough to stay home when conditions suck, but at least I'm smart enough to pack up and go home when I know the rifle is at risk with any additional shooting. (Too bad it wasn't an AK. I wouldn't have stopped...)

First of all, you're a pretty hardy guy to be out shooting in Ridgecrest this time of year. As the previous posters suggested: strip it as far as you can and clean everything. Also, flush your trigger housing with lighter fluid and blow dry with compressed air. [br]
Watch for those dust devils and stay cool! ;)
