Dura-coat a composite stock

I have a GreyBoe ridgeback stock . Greyboe says "Their stock don't like cerakote ,but do like Dura coat " What pre work needs to be done " Do I have to remove factory paint ? I want to paint it matt black .

Doesn't make sense to me.
1st, Cerakote has an air cure- and the H Series can still be cured with low temp, longer time in the oven.
I'm not aware of any substrate that's fine for Duracoat, but can't be Cerakoted.

If you want black, Rust-Oleum pickup bed liner spray has excellent adhesion and durability plus nice texture.
