I'd rather see dead wood chucks than barren fields. It only takes one bad year for the smaller farms to go belly up. I thoroughly enjoy wood chuck hunting, it is a lot of fun. Here is a teaser from earlier this spring. View attachment 1456369
Few more DRT for you, hundreds more Dshortt, enjoy.

While I am in the rapidly fading stages of my 50+ year varmint hunting career, I use to post my adventure stories without pictures because I am too computer illiterate to figure out how to post pictures plus, I only have a "flip" phone. I am a technology minimalist - "an off the grid want-a-be".:rolleyes: My daughter calls me dinosaur because I do not have or want a "smart" phone. o_O

Anyway, I got tons of criticism for not posting pictures, one member even suggested that "it didn't happen" because there were no pictures. So, I stopped posting my adventure stories, not because I was offended but to eliminate controversy. I am not offended by members that may question the veracity of my hunting stories without picture proof. This is the age we live it. But I wrongly thought even without the pictures, the stories were entertaining. But instead, they created a controversy.

Anyway, to the point, the OP has posted numerous pictures of his exploits to document them, and I salute him. I enjoy his stories and results; it reminds me of my glory days as a varmint hunter. However, I am not sure what the point is of this specific post of his. But at my age, I am not the sharpest pencil in the box.

I would post pictures if I could, but it seems we varmint hunters can't win, if we post them, it is criticized and if we don't, we get criticized. Such is life but let's not get into a pissing contest over it. It's just hunting.

I understand where your at, one reason I posted these is awhile back i used the terminology DRT, and a few did not know the meaning, understandable. So I figured it would enlighten some. On every forum someone questions someone integrity, or prowess, bei t hunting of any sort, dogs, atv's cars etc. On this forum they're are many that are the real deal, the imposters are easy to recognize. Because i shoot 40 coyotes + a year makes me no more viable than the one who shoots one a year, same with gh's or any other varmints. No matter how good, you think you are at a sport there's many that are better. If
it bothers anyone they should not participate in these type of forums. But for one to call me out because they don't get the point, read the title of this thread VARMINTER AND HUNTING FORUM,I believe i'm in the right place. DRT means just what it says.

Well said - keep them coming - I enjoy them - no one will doubt you're for real with these excellent photo's.

Ground hog hunting here in eastern PA, while once very, very good, now, due to overdevelopment and changes in farming practices, i.e., the planting of more corn and planting different crops in strips, it is extremely difficult if not impossible to hunt them after May except for a few hay fields. Some beans fields are good to the end of June but after that, you can't see them.
