Dove Season

Has anyone else got out yet? I had a great Missouri season opener this morning.

Before anyone asks, I have a really long plug that I made to work with the extension.

Well done. I can hardly wait.
We open on sat at 12:00.. got a big storm coming that may screw us up.

Congrats on the hunt!! Brine them for 20-30 mins / wrap 'em in bacon and grill slowly.. yum..

NOTHING LIKE A GOOD DOVE SHOOT IN MY BOOK !!! LORD WILLING IT WILL BE MY TURN SAT MORNING!!!!

Love dove hunting! big job there sir!
Sadly opening day is also our BR VFS match.

Sat. 1/2 hour before sunrise hear. Weather will be great after the cool front that pushes the tropical storm east. I have to be at work but have Monday to shoot.

Good shooting. I did not make it out today in iowa. Going tomorrow. Gong to use a conduit tube dove decoy tree I made. Going to see if it works. 20 feet tall. Put prices in a old bow hunting case. Trial run tomorrow. I might be marketing it through cabelas if it works. Martyd

Ours aint started yet.. sept 18th... birds are in the honey hole by the thousands already though. Cant finish a beer before you limit out. Its like clock work, its game on shoot and reload as fast as you can then its over.. lol but its fun

I'm jealous. and HUNGRY! Is that your 3gun shotgun?

That is my do-it-all shotgun. It's a Benelli M2 28". I put on the Nordic extension for Snow Goose hunting, and left it on after I shot it a few times. It swings like an over/under. For hunting that requires a max of 3 shots, I made a really long plug out of a bowfishing arrow.

Our dove opened yesterday also. 6 of us got 30 or so. Had a rain We'd. So shooting was a little slow but stills lots of fun. Mostly sat on the tailgate and told stories! Dove season is my "official" start to fall hunting! My favorite time of year. Good luck to all

In I am in the Phoenix area.
9 out of 10 doves in the yard are the Eurasian Collared doves, the native doves are not around. I don't know if this is because I am in the city and in the desert it may be different. I have heard people are targeting the Eurasias, no limit, and they can shoot until they get 10 of the native doves.
There is a dairy on a county island a 1/4 mile from me and there has been a lot of shooting, so it should be a good year.
