I've ran into an issue when necking up 300 rum brass to 338 edge. There seems to be a slight doughnut at the neck shoulder junction. I've had similar circumstances occur and I simply necked the brass up another caliber and neck turned followed by necking back down, problem solved. Although in this case I'll have to purchase a large caliber neck turner.
The question, are there any more tricks to addressing the doughnut without purchasing a large cal turner, using neck reamers or seating longer? (c.o.a.l is already 3.9+)
