Double or single based powder for 243.

Developing a long range load using the Lapua molly 105g scenar and berger 105g VLD for my 1 in 8 twist 243 win blaser LRS2 rifle and was interested in finding out what other handloaders have observed when developing loads with single based powders like vit n160 in comparrison to double based powder like vit n560, e.g is the double based harder on barrels reducing barrel life? is db powder more stable and offer lower es numbers etc thanks.

whether double base is harder on barrels, i dont know for sure. i could see why they would be because of the use of nitro to raise pressures, and therefore more velocity. so i could see an excelleration in throat erosion.

The 105g Lapua scenar seems to yield better acuracy and lower es with the single based n160 over the double based n560 powder.
