How do you know you have a donut in or on your case....any pics of donuts. Do they form on the inside of the case of the outside of the case. I apologize in advance for sounding like an idiot, I just don't know or have never seen one.

They form inside at the neck shoulder junction. Take a fired case and try to drop a bullet in , if it stops or there is resistance once the bullet gets to the neck and shoulder junction, you have a donut. Now all you need is a cup of coffee. ;D

Buy a set of .001 increment gauge pins and use them to check your brass.
A set of .061 to .250 from china costs about $50 including shipping.
A set of .251 to .500 is about $70.

Thanks for the input. I have looked visually and have slid bullets in and I don't see or feel anything. I was 90% sure I didn't have them, just wanted to make sure I was looking for what I thought I was looking for.

I've got both those sets, mine are of type "ZZ Class, Minus" meaning .0002" under the nominal size, which are the most practical style for me, anyway, and common. Once you get some, you find or invent all kinds of uses for them, as mandrels, pilots, shims, etc. I bought mine cheap off Ebay, but beware the very common sets which are missing a few sizes.
