Don't all dogs go to heaven?

MAN’S BEST FRIEND

These "best friends" of ours, seem to latch onto a little piece of our soul. You could say that they steal it, but we gladly give it up to them. They share it, and even grow it when they are here with us. And when they leave, they take it with them; and we have to learn to live without it, and them. For quite awhile it hurts about like losing an arm or a leg, and maybe that piece of soul never comes back.

I think I might have another little piece of soul to give up to another friend, but that last piece I lost still hasn't healed over yet. jd Scholer

Some type of timing with this thread. Took my beagle of 15 years to the vet this morning to be put down. Had her since I was in high school and my dad got her for me. She started problems that was getting to far along and was really struggling. was the hardest thing I’ve had to do.

I had a yellow lab that I had to let go of 5 years ago this past December and after he was gone I realized what a sneaky little turd he was. After he was gone I figured out quickly he somehow worked his way into every aspect of my life I didn't even see it until he was no longer there. I am not sure I deserved the unconditional love and loyalty that dog gave me.

A great dog is a joy and I've had several, also had some that were not so much. And I never understood some people who wanted mean dogs unless it was their attempt to protect their drugs.

Had to put one down recently, cancer really sucks. Still have 4 in the house, all rescues. The big chocolate lab, I call the love moose! He’s best buddy with the yorkie. When they get playing together, I call them Rocky and Bullwinkle. Had 3 westies also, until recent. The youngest is the one that got cancer. The oldest is pushing 18 yrs, and the other is about 14.
