It consists of a ring that is installed right behind the turret assemblies with two screws that oppose the turrets to lock the setting after they are made. To make adjustments you back off the screws, make the adjustments and then lightly snug the screws so that the erector tube is locked in place instead of depending on the spring(s?) alone. Installation requires drilling the main tube so that the screws can be set against the erector tube. Unfortunately I believe that this voids Leupold's warranty. The ring that the screws go through is assembled around the main tube of the scope as two halves connected by finely fitted dovetails where they meet, and a lock screw holding the assembled ring in position on the main tube. If you scroll down the page you will come to a picture of the device with some descriptive text.
