Dogtown Bullets?

I need to load up about 2000 varmint rounds in 223 and 22-250. I was wondering if anyone here has experience with the Midway Dogtown bullets. Accurate? Explosive? Looking at 50 and 55 grain soft points, which are all that's available right now.

I have used the Dogtown bullets in a 223, 22-250 and 220 Swift. They are accurate in my rifles. I heard they maybe a major brand repackaged. Yes they are explosive in the 55 gr weight.

I have heard that thy are made by Winchester, but I can not say for certain.

Try Midsouth they sell a bullet called the Varmint Nightmare! with or without the cannelure....50 and 55 grain! I have shot some and believe they are the same manufacturer...but Midsouth when they are in stock are considerably cheaper! paid $37 for 500 55gr with Canl'r

Not a bad bullet for varmints when you are loading hundreds of rounds. A quarter minute of angle accuracy on a varmint is still plenty dead. I don't believe in wasting good bullets on yotes, groundhogs or crows.

Not trying to start a pissing match, just curious as to where this information came from. I have a couple boxes, just haven't gotten around to loading test loads yet. Thanks

My local shop says they are made by Hornady. It would be nice to know for sure.

I toured the Nosler factory this summer and am 90% sure I saw boxes of these bullets when we went through the packaging and shipping warehouse.

Well being I started this thing I will follow up.
If you go through the Nosler plant in Bend, Oregon, allot of the time they have them sitting out there for everyone to see.
They just don't have the ballistic tip on them.

I was told by a guy at Midsouth that he would not confirm nor deny that there "Varmint Nightmare" bullets are made by Hornady.
