Dog Gone Good shooting bags status?

hi can anyone tell me if dog gone good shooting bags, are still being made, im after a new one and cant find any over here in the uk, cheers bs.

A quick search shows the business as being closed. I ordered bags from him several times over the last 25 years and they were of great quality. The last order I made was at least several years ago and the owner was getting up there in years and looking to sell the business from what he told me.

Don Scott has retired soon after his wife Arlene passed away. So the company is officially closed now.
Don is a friend and fellow varmint shooter....one of us, just tired.

oh! im sorry to hear that arlene had passed away, i bought a number of bags of don, about 25 years ago he is a gentleman, and arlene was a lovely lady, how fast time goes by, if anbody knows don personaly can you give him my condolence,s to him, and give him my best wishes from dave thorniley in england god bless.

I had the same experience talking with Don on the phone. He sent my products before he got my check. Time marches on for all of us.

That’s good to know. Thinking back now I believe Don said he filled his bags with ground up 5 gallon plastic buckets.

Somewhere in the archive.org site of Don’s old site, he writes it was “polypropylene regrind which can be found where plastic is recycled (check yellow pages under lastic).“

Lastic might indeed be ground plastic buckets.

With a front bag, how snugly should the bag hold the fore stock? Just wondering if it can be too snug and inhibit proper recoil (?). The stock on my range gun is 2 1/4" wide, so should the bag slot be that width, or maybe a little wider to facilitate proper recoil movement? Also, if anyone has...
