Does Sightron have any plans zero stop scopes ?

Does Sightron have any plans to sale scopes with a zero stop ? I had seen a few posts that it might happen 2016/2017 ? Martyd

In a personal correspondence with Sightron's (excellent!) service dept on an unrelated issue, I asked that question.
The relevant response, dated August of this year:

"...We currently don’t have a zero-stop in production, we do have it in design and hopefully we should be able to release this early next year...."

I hope it's true.

Ok. I am holding off buying one for this reason. Martyd

Maybe I've got this all wrong, but my impression, looking at the design of the Sightron turrets, and from what I've read elsewhere, about some guys making their own zero stops, (some have stacked thin shims to achieve the desired zero-stop effect).
I am guessing the zero-stop would be an add on part that would retrofit to current scopes.
If I had the ability, I'd made one myself; something along these lines, only much thinner.
But to be clear, I am merely speculating about Sightron's intentions.

Resurrection of an old thread. I emailed sightron's custom shop because I'd heard about a rumored zero stop and they said to check back with them in 2-3 weeks. There was one on the way but they didn't have the parts in yet or the details. My scope is a SIII 8-32x56.

Their 2018 catalog is available for download. No zero stops unfortunately. Some new additions to the SV line though with ED glass, 1/8 turrets and a new FFP tactical model, although again the tactical model lacks a zero stop.

I guess the other thing to consider is SHOT show just around the corner where we should find out a bit more about what will unfold in the optics world this year.

I ordered Zero Stops (shims) from this guy for my SIII 8-32X56, SIII 6-24X50 and 4-20X50 STAC. They work ok but not perfect. Have to sand them down to the correct size for your zero. I couldn't get the ones for the SIIIs exact but they get me to 1/2 MOA lower that zero. The STAC stops on zero.

I have found that a rubber o-ring works perfectly in my s-tac. I use Danco #11 3/4 od x 9/16 id x 3/32.
Lowes, $3.00 for a 10 pack. 1 ring has left me with a half rev left if I need to bring poi down from zero.
if less then a full o-ring is needed, sand paper and a flat bench.
Thanks

In my 2018 catalog on page 36, they(Sightron) offer a zero stop for the SIII LR with tactical turrets that must be factory retrofitted by the factory...call 919-562-3000 '....rsbhunter
