Does Savage 110 small shank and Marlin X7's have the same barrel/nut threads?

Just wondering if they have the same barrel threads, think I remember seeing this somewhere. I have a source for some new long actions, 30/06 X7's, dirt cheap, $225, and I thought this would be a good donor action to make some 6.5x55AI rifles on. All replies appreciated!

Ggmac has done a bunch of work on this. He tells me that the Marlin and the Remington 783 are the same. PM him or he will see this thread in the AM.

Yes , same threads but the bolt nose depth is different , requiring a few thousandths removed from the savage barrels . It still can be used on savage barrels once cut .

Excellent actions , when Remington bought Marlin , they made just a few cosmetic changes and made the 783 . Which in my world is a better buy .
Detachable mag , less metal removed between front and rear bridge . But the Marlin has a better looking bolt and bluing .
