Short answer to the original question: no

+1. BC is just one ingredient in the formula to success and accuracy.

My go to Hunting Rifle is a Custom Made .270 on a Mauser Action 24" Barrel.

It flat shoots 1/2 groups a 300 yards with Sierra 130gr. Spritzers .. It will not do it with any boat tail bullet.
It will also do almost the same with 150 gr. Speer Hot Core.
Not the Best of the Best Bullets ??? They have nailed a lot Deer ,Antelope and Elk ?

and you can keep going up 408 Cheytec BC 949

but there is a tradeoff between what is practical and not. Recoil fatigue is why many have gone to the dasher. Do you shoot better with a lower recoiling rifle. i think most have found that to be true.

The Dasher is also extremely accurate and easy to tune. A case full of powder and very effecient. Matt

If you could shoot 5 5-shot groups of 1/2" at 300 yards you would shatter the existing world record in every benchrest class. And:
