Does anyone have Quickload?

I'm trying to work up a load for 762x25 Tokarev. I've experimented with Gordon's reloading Tool which isn't reliable as it gives me a consistent " low burn rate" warning until I increase it to the Max Chamber pressure. Just trying to see how that stencils out.

My work up for the load is as follows:

110gr 308 Berry's 30 Carbine

OAL 1.320"
Accurate No.7 start charge 6.1 grains, Max 7.2 ( sourced from loaddata.com)

CZ-52 bore diameter 307/308?

That one is not in there either. Just FYI, cast bullets for the 7.62 Tokarev need to be 0.311 not .308
Its the problem with the Russian/Soviet calibers. The measure differently

The CZ-52's bore diameter is closer to 307 or 308. Russian, Polish, Chinese, Yugoslav's are closer to 0.311 there's some slight differences across the former Warsaw pact from my understanding.

I get what you're saying though. The only way to know for sure would be to slug it.

I don't know a thing about the 7.62x25 Tokarev. And I've never shot Berry's bullets. But that sounds like a terrible load.

Using a 110 gr Hornady RN (#3015), QL shows your starting 6.1 gr of Accurate No. 7 making 1359 fps out of a 23" barrel, at around 17k psi. Fill ratio is only 55%.

Your max charge of 7.2 comes in at 1558 fps at 24k psi, and a 65% fill ratio.

If you raise your charge to 11.0 gr. to give you a 100% case fill, you're EXTREMELY overpressure at 2167 fps and 78k psi.

What drew you to that load?

In any case, here's a partial powder chart out of QL, with most efficient powders at the top, decreasing from there.

Can you change the barrel length to 4.7?" I noticed yours is set at 23". The CZ52 is a pistol. Great questions though. I read someone mentioning you could 30 carbine 110gr bullets to reload with 762x25 Tokarev. The other preferred choice seems to be 0.309 Hornady XTP which there is more load data for admittingly.

Naturally 30 carbine is more abundant and inexpensive vs the 309 XTP's.

Sorry, of course. 4.7"... 6.1 gr. gives you 960 fps and 7.2 gr. gives you 1126 fps. Same chamber pressures. Makes more sense for a pistol.

CZ52's are a big pain in the ass to load for.
You need to be very careful with CZ52 pistols due to the weak chamber wall, disregard
all the internet BS about the strong locking system.

The the neck portion of the chambers of the 3 samples I have measured have been very tight. Loading bullets over .308 may/will cause the case neck to be tight in the chamber causing higher than normal pressure.

The barrels were .308 groove and most of the military bullets I measured were .307ish.

If you look at the starline brass web site there is a comment about using .308 bullets
in their brass.

I take the hornady .309 bullets and push them through a lee bullet die squeezing them down to .308 and they work fine in my CZ52.

Gordons should work fine you can make a custom bullet for your load.

Edit: Discard the low burn rate from Gordons, the 7.62x25 burns more powder
out of the barrel than in it. Shoot a military load at night and you will understand.

You are correct, depending on when something was manufactured. CZ was a fine arm manufacturer before communist invated the then Chechoslovakia, and once Chech Republic was freed again, CZ returned to its old glory. Make fine firearms.
