I have developed a wildcat cartridge based on a 348 winchester case for use in a single shot action. This particular cartridge head spaces off the rim. What I want to do is use the same cartridge after modifying it to a rimless design using a magnum case head size for use in a bolt action rifle.
I understand that I will need different hs gages for the bolt action, but is there any need for a different reamer or can I use my original reamer? I would not be running the reamer in as far in the bolt action so the rim on the reamer should not be a concern should it?
