Do any girls shoot benchrest ?

We've had several women at our matches in St. Johnsbury, including Hannah Bunker who started as a teen-ager, Ruth Franzius, Mrs. Grosbier who for the life of me I cannot remember her name, Clark Shen's wife, and Kim Llewelyn. Kim is among the best of today's shooters.

The firing line is not the best place to meet girls. Most of them are married and all of them mean business. They can be tough customers!

Yes there a lot of top notch women shooters, I always hate seeing a new one because it's usually just one more notch out of my belt as they clean my clock, just kidding I encourage all women and young people to get involved in the shooting sport. My wife does not compete but whoa be it the deer that steps out in front of her 7mm-08 :P ;)

Tony Boyer's wife Faye was a top-shelf competitor as was Eunice Berger with Walt. Many great ladies are BR shooters. Then in the long range game, well they all but dominate the game. Nancy Tompkin, Michelle & Sherri Gallagher and then there is Trudy fay and Laurie Perry and Sierra Scott.. & I know I a missing many..

Heck, my 17 yr old daughter Sam is going to shoot league this summer with me and know my 20 yr Sarah wants to give it a shot. I think Dad is going to me regulated to coach and armorer for the most part this yr. And I couldnt be happier...

Oh yea, we have a couple ladies that shoot in our local club matches here in West Virginia, and they really do well. The joke with the guys is, "well I got beat by a girl again today".

I've seen a couple girls from other country's shooting short range
benchrest out at Kelby's super-shoot. Coming up in May.

My experience is most shooting women are related to a male shooter. Some are in the "business". Others tag along for the companiosnhip and experience.

Few women do much of anything like that on their own. The exception IS the rule. It's also a tiny minority.
