DLC Nitride coatings for a watch?

Just wondering if any of our members have had a watch coated with either DLC or nitride ?
I have a shinny one (stainless steel) that needs to be a little less ostentatious for my line of work .
I would assume it would be at least 3-500 bones for the work.

I have one thats dlc coated. It was substantially more than 500 bones, but i had to pay rolex to disassemble it, store the movement and parts, and reassemble it. You can buy them already done as well.

That's what I'm looking for, just with a Breitling. Thank you
I think you would be better off buying another “work watch”. Any body that knows watches will recognize a Breitling and know what you have. You could smear dog poo on it but it’s still a Breitling.

My daily driver is a 30 year old Rolex. Takes a lick and keeps on ticking. I picked up a 1992 Breitling Jupiter Aviator two years ago. Cool but that one's made for young eyes. For dress up I have a classy looking Mount Blanc.

I just wear my $30 Timex Indiglo expodition. Does the same thing as the expensive one's do, tells time.
When I was younger I used to get the " FREE TEST WATCHES" my mother worked there, it was U.S. Time then, now it is Timex. She was there 42 years back when everything was made here in Waterbury then Middlebury, now who knows where.

Not as elegant, but my last two have been Luminox. I really like them. To the OP: I see that Breitling offers DLC on some of their lines. Maybe contact them about it, and if they'll do it (or have it done) have them clean & service it at the same time? In my mind, seems like a good way to go about it considering the investment.

I think a service and battery change cost me $500 at Breitling. Then it stopped working. It took another trip or two back along with some harsh words to it get it straightened out. Works fine now.

Ouch! Ok, maybe that's not a good way to go about it

Rolex currently is at $1750 for a non date silver only watch, and thats no battery. But you cant tell it from a brand new one when theyre done
