Distance

Lets see if I can word this right. 22lr Getting your rifle sighted in and chronograph the rounds for speed. Take everything into account and work up a dope sheet for that particular bullet (brand). Is this dope sheet for shooting on flat ground, but if your target is 86ft higher than your shooting position will that change your mils if so how do you figure/adjust for shooting up hill or does it matter?

Without getting into the precise trigonometry required, Gravity affects the bullet as if it were traveling over flat ground. So if you are shooting up hill or down, and use a range finder to the target, the distance ranged will always be longer than the effective distance if there were no angle component. Think of it like this, the ranged distance is the hypotenuse ( the long side of a right triangle ), the effective distance is the base, the elevation is the height. The simple formula is hypotenuse squared is equal to the base squared plus the height squared.
