Dirty loading block

Anyone seen a loading block that the bottom comes off. These blocks get dirty and are hard to get really clean. Nothing worse than having alittle gunk on your case head when you slide it into your pristine shell holder. Mike

Yes, washing works but, if you could slide the bottom off then you could wipe the bottom and run a .410 mop through the holes. Slide off like you slide off the bottom of a magazine. Besides I don't do dishes! Mike

I've thought of ways to mfr loading blocks.
Considered a thin plate for bottom which would enable the gang/stacked drilling op.
I never pursued this or checked cost of Delrin, metal etc or thin cabinet plywood for the backer.

I had a plastic one that would not clean out, dishwasher, q-tips, you name it. I threw it away and bought aluminum blocks made by a guy here a few years ago. Love em

I don't put lubed cases in my loading blocks. The residue seems to attract and hold any brass or powder flakes. I had some old RCBS dual size blocks that I hadn't used for years, so I now use them only when lubing, resizing, trimming and chamfering (the
dirty jobs).

I use my regular blocks, after cases are clean, when priming, charging and seating bullets.

I clean up the RCBS trays, when needed, by spraying with degreaser and blowing out with the compressor. It works better than the dishwasher.

Do dishes.

I have been reloading for 30 years and have never cleaned a tray. What are you doing that they get so dirty? You could just wipe off your loaded cartridges.

Do you use one shot?
I have a rough time cleaning it off those blue ones. I haven’t used it in a couple years and there is still waxy crap in the bottom of the holes after cleaning them with hot water and soap.
The white Sinclair ones don’t get waxy like the Frankfords.

OP here, think of a cci 22lr ammo pack. Turn it over, now the lid is the bottom. Slide it out, wipe it off, done. No dishwashers, brake cleaners or car washes. I'll bet one of you 3D printer guys could do it. Just don't sell it to all the ones here that are giving me grief. 30 years without ever, ever, cleaning OMG. See picture. Mike
