Dillon case feeder motor

The motor in my dillon 650 case feeder is going out. Does anyone know of a generic motor for a replacement?

Do you mean the variable?

Or the previous older model?

I would recommend you upgrade to the variable if you are talking about the older one.

If you don't want to buy the "real deal"

You could try and use some of the parts from the DIY Bulletfeeder:

And in particular, the worm drive PWM unit:

I would start by removing the feeder plate. Then take it apart and clean all the sticky lube off of everything. Does the motor now work without the plate? If yes put it all together and adjust the clutch screws. I had to do this to mine.

Walt, I think this was the problem too. It seems to be working better. I did find the replacement motor though, 52 bucks if anyone is interested. Made my molon motor, 52 bucks.

Dillon will replace them, but they charge a lot more than you can buy them for.

Wow, not my experience with Dillon, they were always more than willing to help me. I did sell my Dillon, but to their credit they provided XLNT service. I had bought it from Brian Eno but Dillon really stepped up to the plate to help me with any problem I had.

OP, you should contact Dillon directly and see what they say, they may even offer a discount.

Absolutely they are above and beyond with their customer service. I have 5 of their presses on my bench.

But when it comes to electronics/motors in their stuff, nope. I dont blame them either.

I wish BE was still selling Dillon stuff.

Would probably be best, in the long run, to contact Dillon and see if they will warranty a new one or just buy a new one and replace the old.
