Dillon 550 powder die question

I decided to start loading my precision ammo on a 550 and, love it with exception to one problem. As described by 6.5 Guys excellent website is how I set up my powder die with the 500 dillon powder die and black plastic powder funnel which allows me to pour charges straight from my fxi auto trickle.....unfortunately I noticed that 5 or 6 pieces of powder can often get caught on a,little, ledge inside the Die. Evidently, I am not the only one seeing this problem with a detailed fix found here (https://www.dropbox.com/s/mmk8tv8yrk7vii7/12.23.15-Dillon-Prometheus-Article.pdf?dl=0). I was hoping someone else has an easier solution then this? I use an electric toothbrush to settle powder in the case and thought of seeing if touching the die might work, but there has to be an easier fix! Any ideas appreciated...C

What I've been using for a lot of years is what Whidden *used* to offer, but discontinued for some reason.

Basically it's one of these:

https://www.midwayusa.com/product/613906/mtm-universal-powder-funnel-set-17-to-45-caliber

With the flange on the drop tube turned off, to where it's a slip fit in the powder die body, with no insert. That's it. Seriously ;)

It's a little big to chuck in a hand-held drill, or even my drill press, so you might need to find a friend with a lathe.

It has the added benefit of it works with pretty much anything I've put thru the press - .223, 6.5 CM, .308, etc. There's a possibility that it might not work with some case with a really short neck and sharp shoulder i.e. Dasher.

Of course, there is always the more Gucci option, popular with the PRS crowd (which is why I'm surprised the 6.5 Guys didn't cover it)... Just order your stuff from Area419.com. And yes, they make a Dillon powder die adapter ($15) for their powder funnel ($40) and they also sell stackable drop tubes that fit as well.

Thanks. We speak the same language. I actually have a lot of 419 products including the Dillon powder die adapter but I could not see how it was suppose to be set up. Obviously the funnel screws into it; but it does not sit in the Dillon 500 powder die. Do you know how it is suppose to be used on the 550? Thanks fo your time...

To be honest... I got one with a Master Funnel kit, but I've never bothered using it since what I have works pretty well and doesn't require me to change anything between cartridges (yet).
