Different scope

I just looked at some scopes called Riton Optics. https://www.ritonoptics.com/ It is a company owned by Veterans and retired law enforcement based in AZ. Supposedly They they are built with quality nite force style tubes and glass that rivles Leupold with a Vortex style warranty. They look well built. and are reasonably priced. Anybody here tried one yet?

My first question would be "where are they made?" No China made, or Chinese parts assembled in the USA interests me, no matter how reasonable. Been there, done that, not happy.

They look like they are built in the same plant as Bushnell. Might be ok, but Japanese mid priced optics aren't going to take your breath away, just the same as any Japanese Bushnell scope I've ever seen or owned. Very good optics for the money, but nothing exceptional for the price.

The more expensive Japanese optics built by LOW in Japan are very high quality, but the price is going to start at about $1700 and go up from there.

If you are looking for something new at an affordable price that will impress you for the money, I'd suggest looking at the new Meopta Optika6 scope line. Scopes are due out on the market mid-August this year. Lot of scope for the money. They have 6x mag ranges, good turrets with zero stop, great glass, and new Dichrotech reticle technology.
A couple reviews I found of Optika6 prototypes state that the optics perform way above their price point. Which always seems to be the case with Meopta glass. I will be purchasing a couple to test for myself when they come out.

This company sounds like athlon optics. Owned by former Bushnell people from what I understand and head quartered in Kansas City.

I've played this game trying to figure who's actually making what. There are more Japanese optics shops than just Light Optics works. Hakko and Kenko come to mind.

I believe the Sightron stuff is Kenko, which I would consider top notch.

I think Hakko made or still does the super snipers and or perhaps the original Tasco. Not too sure about this one.

I am pretty sure LOW made the Japanese Weavers, and the Bushnell Elite 3200/4200.

etc. etc.

It would be interesting to know which of the Japanese optics shops this is coming out of.

ETA: I think their products bear a strong resembalance to Hakko/JOL

The above is just what I think I've been able to piece together over the years off the internet. If anybody has some insider knowledge, please speak up. I am genuinely curious especially after looking at those webpages.

Riton is pretty new, so I do not think you will see a whole lot of information out there.

Unfortunately, I have not seen these outside SHOT, so I doubt I am any help here.
