Difference between two 6x45's

Can someone tell me the difference between the 6TCU and the 6x45 Ackley imp.?? I know on the TCU they took tapper out and gave it a 40 deg. sholder; but what about the Ackley rd.?? Also do you think that the 6TCU would be better with a longer neck?? I know you would loose some capasity (sp) but would it be more acc.

For all practical purposes they're the same.

If you want a longer neck, go with a 6x47 on the 222 Rem Mag case.

David, here's an idea that might be worth pursuing. Why not use 204 Ruger cases (basically 222 Mag cases) and just neck them up to 6MM. I believe they already either a 30 or 35
degree shoulder angle. I'm sure someone on this site probably has the correct info and the angle. Just a random thought. That way, there would be no need to fireform the cases if you would be content with that shoulder angle. Just a thought. Ron

The 204 case is a great choice.

You can neck it up in one pass, load and shoot! Very accurate and pleasent to shoot. I have two rifles chambered in 6-204.(well, one belongs to my wife) You can us 6X45 load data as a starting point, Or 6PPC(it has the same capacity as the PPC)
