Difference between 180gr Target VLD and Hunting VLD

G'day,

Getting 180gr Target VLD is getting harder in austalia but the hunting VLD is more available. Whats the difference between these bullets?

The jacket on the Target bullet is just a little thicker than the hunting bullet. Other than that, they're made on the same dies to the same precision standards.

In most lots of 210 VLD's I find the hunting version measures and shoots better. In my 6MM I see the same thing. Matt

I shoot the 7mm 180 Hunting VLD's in all my 284's. The last time I shot F-Class was the 2009 US Nationals and placed 5th overall and second in team. Charles Ballard was my team mate that year and he won the match using the same bullet. I think you will be okay.
