Differances between lots of Varget

Really haven't used much Varget and what I have used has come from 1 pound cans. Today, I picked up an 8 pounder and I've looked that jug over several times and I'm unable to find a Lot number. All of the 1 pound cans have a Lot number. Is this normal or I'm just blind?

It should be on an orange sticker on the jug someplace. Matt

I thought the orange sticker was from the store.
I expected it to be printed on the label or on the plastic jug itself.

I could be wrong but i think you can also decipher the lot number from the UPC (bar) code.
