I have uses Wilson neck and seating dies for many years. With the Wilson neck die the bushing is stationary, it can't move.
Last month I purchased my first Redding full length S die. In the instructions for setting the die up it says to back off the seater stem 1/16 or so of a turn so the bushing will float. What a great idea.
I can't tell that it makes any difference in the loaded round but it saves a step.
Is there any real advantage to having the bushing float??
