I had just gotten a couple of blanks from them a month ago. Today the website is gone. Anyone heard anything?
When I talked with them a month ago, they were having trouble filling orders, and were having trouble hiring help. I hope they can make it.Hope not. Good source for my single-shot projects.
Can't find the website, either.
My understanding is many of these bbl makers are swamped w/ OEM orders. Same w/ Wilson from what I’ve heard. It does not matter to me if they dissapear. Why? They have never offered anything to me I want to purchase. They make plenty of stuff for other's I would like to purchase but I have ZERO interest in blank that is not profiled o twist rates that mirror ancient history!
Give me what I want to purchse or go out of business! On the rare ocassions that they offer a profiled blank I would want to purchase it is always out of stock!
There are not a lot of gunsmiths that offer to profile a barrel which means that GM is chasing gunsmiths that offer their own product line and those with a lathe that can do it themselves. I am neither of those so I do not care.
I would pay more for prifled and polished blanked. I do not want to pay Brux prices for a simple low cost hunting rifle but I am also wanting more than a $129 blank.
Even the craptastic E.R. Shaw barrels are at stupidly high prices today not in line with what one is getting. An affordable quality barrel that is profiled and polished at a decent price like the Midway Adam and Bennet barrels would sell like hot cakes for far more than OEM's will pay.
I have a friend that works at an OEM barrel manufacturer and they’re quite busy.My understanding is many of these bbl makers are swamped w/ OEM orders. Same w/ Wilson from what I’ve heard.
Is that OEM military contracts?I have a friend that works at an OEM barrel manufacturer and they’re quite busy.
I don’t ask him specifics because I know he can’t answer, especially DOD stuff. Is that OEM military contracts?
Okay thanks, I guess I meant what does OEM stand for.I don’t ask him specifics because I know he can’t answer, especially DOD stuff.
