Dewey Aluminum Jags

Has anyone tried these new jags? If so how did they perform.

Since ammonia based solvents like Shooter's Choice don't mix too well with brass jags; I was wondering if these new jag might work better than conventional brass.

Thats the theory behind them K22. brass jags give a false positive when cleaning. I have these jags on order and should be here very soon. I was cleaning my 6PPC the other day with the regular brass jag, and the patch came out green. I just knew that wasn't copper from my barrel as its a fairly new barrel with less than 100 rounds. I then cleaned my T3 308 with the same result. I might add that this was the first time that i cleaned using BoreTech Cu+2.

That's right, I bought some a year ago from Sinclair. They don't leave a trace or false positive with the right rods.

If you use a Dewey with a brass fitting on the end that the jag goes into you still receive the false info. The stainless or carbon

rods with no brass work the best. I use less time and strokes now to get my barrels clean.
