detachable bottom metal for win 70??

does anyone make detachable bottom metal for a Winchester 70 that doesn't require any mods to the action?

It has always puzzled me as to why nobody markets more stuff for winchester actions and so on.They are a great little platform but alas the remmys and such seem to be so popular.

I just went to the wyatts site and they say they make model 70 detachable mags and metal,you have to call.

I believe the cdi requires some mill work to the action. FN makes a dbm they call TBM. It is kinda pricey, but includes a 5&10 rd mag, pretty sure the stock needs inletted for it. I handled a FN SPR a5 with one, nice solid quality piece. Believe it was ambi release. It does use a proprietary mag, can't remember if it is center or stagger feed. The a3g that went home with me could use one, but oddly enjoying the old school bdl style internal mag. It allows the same oal as AImag, not sure if the TBM allows any longer oal then factory/AI mag.

I think Chad Dixon can get the CDI to work without the action mod... Might try him.
