Destruction permits

This would have been a good deer for someone this fall. Found it today 300yrds from the house. Adjoining neighbor lease their property to farmers that can apparently spotlight & shoot deer all year long. Fawns to mature bucks makes no difference. Rabbits and squirrels already took care of the G1 & G2’s.
I was aware of these permits but I thought they had “horn” restrictions on them? In Ga. anyway.

In my state you can get them if you farm and have crop damage, however, you are still supposed to harvest the animal and it is for does. Looks like poaching to me unless there is something different in your state.

We have processors in Michigan who will take any deer and process it and send it to the food banks/or meals on wheels and the like. all free. Info is on the Michigan DNR website.

If it were me in GA, I would see if there is a similar program and print up the info/brochure and leave it on their mailbox. But the pessimistic part of me just thinks the people who just leave them to rot are savages and won't bother even if free.
