(defunct) Trapper Firearms, Roseville Michigan

can anyone comment on their quality of work? seems they closed abruptly in 2009 but were well known for being curmudgeons. their bedside manner doesn't concern me now, just wondering about technical aspects of their barrel work.

thanks all

I have a custom XP100 by Trapper Gun chambered in 6-.223 (6x45) that is very well done and superbly accurate, the shop is long gone. "Trapper" Alexiou passed away in 2012.

thanks bob. exactly the info i needed. however, the firearm i was watching (same as yours apparently) was sold before i could complete my research and move on it. curious, what color is the stock on yours? do you know what manuf of bbl he used on these?

My stock looks like lightly figured Black Walnut, a Fajen I think. Bob Milek had a near twin to my gun and wrote an article about it for Guns & Ammo . I believe the barrel is a Douglas. When I first acquired the pistol, I thought it was in fact Milek's gun but mine doesn't have the white line spacer (Maple?) his gun has. The pistol shown in the article even has matching wood grain to my gun and looks like it came from the same blank. I'm sorry I didn't see your post and reply in time for you to snag the pistol, mine is certainly a keeper!
