Yes just the Remington ejection port slot on the stock will have to be opened up in the front to match the action to look good.

Farmerboy78 and Kracken McGraw are correct, this action will fit just fine in a standard Remington short action stock.
I will try an get a picture showing this shortly.

The Anti-X Med is different ive got one, there was alot of confusion with Defiance describing there SA.
The Anti- X Med is 1/2 longer spacing and 3" ejection port.
The SA med has the SA spacing but model 7 ejection port

Just to clear up some of the confusion,

Defiance used to call model 7 length their “short”
Rem 700 short action length their
”medium”
The medium at that time was called “xm” I believe
Then long action of course,

due to confusion and everyone asking about action length they re named their rem 700 short action to match as “short”

Then XM became medium length.

As they no longer make the tenacity, great action by the way, this was called a medium at the time but is in fact a Remington 700 short action footprint.

Sounds all the internal and ejection port, workings of the action are same as a defiance medium now? Just mounting holes match a short action

A true medium length action has different action screw spacing and overall length then a short action, with a maximum case over all length around 3.2” this has a specific inlet for stocks and will not fit other lengths.


A short action typically can accommodate 2.950” this tenacity is a short action, for rem 700 short action footprint. This is one of the best actions for the $$

Thank you Skattergun for all your help. I posted a picture above of the action sitting in a KRG Chassis but just to show that it is a standard 700 short action bolt hole pattern, I loosely screwed a set of bottom metal on and stuck a Pmag in to show that the feeding should be fine.
With any luck, this will fix any confusion.
