2nd Richard Shatz
3rd Shawn Williams
4th James Cardenas
Light Class:
1st Dennis Peterson
2nd Ken Mcalpin
3rd Lonnie Anderson
4th Glen Kulzer
Two Gun:
1st Lonnie Anderson
2nd Kellan Guinn
3rd James Cardenas
4th Shawn Williams
A few notable highlights, would be 19 year old Guinn Kellan "rookie"borrowed another competitors equipment and zeroed said rifle on Friday before match and shot his First weekend ever and not only placed 2nd overall in two gun behind Lonnie Anderson But shot a 100 score on his first target ever then backs that up with a 50 score in light class WOW!!! this young man is going to be trouble down the line. nice work Kellan.
OK, on to Glen Kulzer another "rookie" first match ever and he earned a place in the winners circle as well taking 4th in light class over all & shot a 50 score along the way as well.
James Cardenas, A seasoned veteran & I Believe his Fist time at deep creek commanded his positions on the leader board earning Both 4th place in heavy class and 3rd place in two gun overall and pick up a 50 score along the way as well great shooting Mr Cardenas.
Dennis Peterson usually a regular of deep creek go's astray all agg season then Poof out of thin air shoots with us this weekend and not only grabs 1st place for light class but get this people, Dennis shoots four 50 scores back to back in his quest to secure light class I'm not sure but that may be a first for our deep creek range nice work Dennis Peterson. My borrowed priming tool did not degrade your ammo Dennis.
JT Barber "Rookie" the only man I have ever seen who shoots with one leg crossed over the other only having one foot on the ground, Talks Lonnie Anderson in to not only using one of Lonnie's Rifles but has Lonnie load the shit to for him to. I might add that JT Barber is Lonnie's Rifle builder and friend so the agreement was made then Barber proceeds to not only secure his place in the top ten but shoots the smallest two gun agg of the weekend 5.060 edging out Lonnie foe 2nd smallest agg two gun with a 5.133"
Our match this weekend like many this year was not loaded with casual conditions, things constantly moving with mirage tough to see as smoke from fires made the air Dirty, Sight picture at targets very tough at times & that subtle condition that induces Vertical stringing at deep creek Biting many competitors.
we have started our "DEEP CREEK CHALLENGE" and many shooters have all ready secured tickets toward next August drawing. Hope to see some new shooters this next agg season securing tickets and opportunity for Dave Kiff ( pacific tool and gauge) rifle valued at $5000.00 bucks
