I was loading on the range until the monsoons set in and ended the session short. Only fired 8 rounds. My mission was to chrono my load and fine tune.
Panda 30 BR,
Henry Rivers Kosty barrel
Deep Creek Tracker by Alex Wheeler
March 10-60x with MTR-1 with floating dot
Rifle weighs 22.5 lb

First two shots--decided I better get a pic before I messed it up

Then I added one more shot to the group

Chronograph showed:

Then I could see rain coming in the distance. I loaded three more and
had a little vertical.
I had stuck a red thumb tack in the target just in case the rifle was shooting.
I placed the floating dot on the tack and the tack vanished. You can see some
red splash in the photo.

Then I had one shell left and told shayne to shoot at my tack hole.
Shayne cut the hole as pouring rain began.

As the barrel warmed velocity went up.
Here is the last two shots.

The second 3 shot group had a little vertical. I will need to do a little more
warm barrel powder adjustment.

I watched Jon Newman call a shot on fly with a 30 BR on a panda he bought from one of his high school buddies from Tenn. We walked down to the target and there was fly stuff and a leg all around the hole. His rifle was lighter than yours but Ive never seen anything more accurate. Do all 30 brs shoot this good or do they need to be built on a Panda?

While most folks still believe that the 6ppc is the king, the 30's are getting really close with some of the best bullet makers making excellent bullets. while not a 30br, the 30 cal (30 Stewart) holds the world record for the smallest 5 shot group ever shot from a rifle at .0077" (if I have my facts straight).

I've shot a few flys and 1 dragonfly at 100 & 200. Trust me any 30BR that is in tune and the shooter is half way decent, it will display that kind of accuracy. No most people I know are using Bat actions, not Panda's. I'd say that the Panda is the 2nd most popular action in the game that I play which is short range score. Any of the popular actions, Rimrocks, Bat, Panda's will win at any given time. There is no advantage between them. Each has their own strong points, but there is no clear winner between any of them. The 6PPC will always be king in group, and some sort of 30 will always be king in SR score. It's just the way it is. Wes is right about the smallest group being a .0077 and it was shot by Mike Stinnett on June 8th, 2013 in Denton, TX. He broke that record that was held for 40 years. The rifle was a LV Panda (Speedy Short) in 30 Stewart smithed by Ralph Stewart, Krieger 17TW bbl, Lapua brass, 114 Bibs bullets, H4198 powder, 45 Leup comp scope in Kelbly single screw tall rings, Jewell trigger, Larson stock and a custom made tuner by R. Stewart, Farley front rest and Graham wind flags just in case anybody was interested.

Should be selling these in a Mcmillan fiberglass version soon. REALLY looking forward to them. Glad your having fun with it. Its the only true HG stock on that platform out there.

When I was shooting with Jon (before he lost his battle with cancer) I didn't have a competitive rifle (for shooting among the group). They found an old Hall with a fairly fresh Kreiger barrel in 6PPC. Ive shot several billfold groups in the low 1s and high 0s. I don't have the learnin to keep it in tune, but when the weather gets right for my load it will shoot. That being said when this barrel is toast, it will become some kind of 30 PPC of some sort.
