Ask Dave Torge if its worth it. He took home over $600.00 at the last regular match. Shoot well and it wont cost a thing! For the prizes and food I think its a real deal.
And those are Aggregate Ranked matches your writing of, aren't they?
Montana's is Relay Ranked.... a whole different "ball game".
At Relay Ranked, there is not much room for error, with no favored or excuses to conditions and draws. You have to perform every time your up, and will be rewarded (by rank) for doing so, and equally in the worse condition relays.
Myself I wouldn't mind seeing 3 targets per class over 3-days, but I like the format as is, and strongly feel the Relay Rank scoring format is the fairest scoring format for running big matches.

Thanks Lonnie ,Yes, we charge $10 more per target for this match. Everyone who signs up gets a free t-shirt. Club logo on the front with a big NIGHTFORCE emblem on the back, so that's a $20 value right there. Our club fee is $35 for the season. A lot of our prizes are donated by sponsors, but some of them are offered to us at a discounted price, so I have to send them a check. Will be spending close to $7,000 of club money for this match for a prize table that will be over $25,000, so I think its worth the entry fee. Gary, if you just hit the center shot pot you will get your money back!! For the people who have been paying their dues, (taxes) all season this is our way of giving them a REFUND!
And WAYNE, now that we know your still alive, you better show up. You got time to get a gun ready. Or bring your knife and you can carve on the pig!
Lonnie
That is exactly why I like the Relay Rank format better then Aggregate format. It was put in place in case you draw one of these type of relays. In an aggregate, you might just as well go home. In this system, you might just open up your lead
